yesterday july 2, Arapahoe Basin closed for the season. In a related story Businesses in Aspen Colorado complain that too many native coloradans skiied at Aspen this past winter infringing on the high rollers who spend more $$.

The latest I ever went to A Basin was the first week in May. There was a lot of slush near the base, and it got up to about 50 F during the day. But it was sure a lot better than anything here in Sandland.
Jim, you reminded me of a cartoon I once saw entitled "Ski Oklahoma." Dude with stocking cap and scarf streaming out behind him while head straight down the side of an oil derrick.
