I keep hearing, including in the SOTU address, that we are going to expand the military, but I hear not one word from anyone of where those bodies will come from and how they will get them. Why is no one saying and why is no one asking?

I'm guessing that there are going to be incentives for joining. They will use recruiting bonuses and other such methods to get new people to join.
Good question, were they keeping people out before or what? I thought they were so desperate for recruits that they lowered their standards for recruitments.
I also wondered why people would join a citizen's army to fight in Iraq but not join the army to fight in Iraq. Also, if there was some kind of citizen's army (or whatever Bush called it) if they are subject to the same rules and regulations of their conduct in Iraq as the military is?
