Bush is off to Florida on a campaign money-raising junket and will doubtless raise another few million.

He'll wind up with considerably more than his $200M goal, for sure.

Does this obscene "war chest" guarantee his re-election, or would a close look at each state over the next year suggest a different outcome?

How active are the Dems in Florida? How active are they in YOUR state?

Fairly active. Dems control the governor's chair and both Senate seats. As well as most of the congress people. We're rare in that regard. Gary Locke, our governor, is so moderate that he will be hard for the GOP to unseat. They tend to nominate complete neanderthals. One recent candidate advocated privatizing the University of Washington, no lie...
