The Genius of george bush

The American public, The Iraq Study Group, The Majority of his generals on the ground and most of Congress and The Senate have deliverd the clear message to bush that we want out of Iraq.

Only he could be brilliant enough to know that what we really mean is ratchet up the fighting in Iraq and start a simultaneous war with Iran. Why, this man knows us better than we know ourselves. Brilliant.

Yeah, what we really ought to do is show OBL, et al., that they were right -- Americans don't have the stomach for an extended fight.

That's right. We really need to keep stuffing bodies into the meat grinder. The willingness to perservere in a pointless fight is the mark of a True American. That'll sure prove how manly and ready we are...

What do you mean, "That's right"? It sounds like you don't agree with me at all.

I'm sure OBL is deeply chagrined that the US is committing more troops to Iraq. As if drawing us in there wasn't part of his scheme in the first place...

Sure, all us true US americans are for the war as long as they don't slap a rifle in our hands and send us to Iraq.

Right. We should fight the enemy on the ground of his own choosing. That way, he'll be more impressed with our commitment and will to win.

Also, we should allow ourselves to be drawn into a guerrilla conflict because that will allow us to win every battle through injudicious and indiscriminate use of our massive firepower. Just like Vietnam.

There's really no way to demonstrate national manliness and spiritual resolve other than to don a coonskin cap and climb climb straight up over the slippery pile of exploded compatriots' intestines and brains while yelling anti-muslim slogans and exposing your wanger. Its the bold way forward. Nothing like it to demonstrate superiority of your god over their god.

From what I have read on many political forums (the ones leaning to the left that is) his winkie-dink has already been removed along with his, um, er..orbs.

Colbert's prudent advice for Bush on the latest speech
Quote:
First of all, unlike most speeches don't start this speech with a joke, this is war, so it would have to be a really good joke. ("A Sunni, a Shiite, and a Kurd blow up a barÂ…") Secondly you've got to make it clear that this action is a surge, not an escalation. Escalation is a word the Democrats are using. Surge is masculine, it's aggressive. Like, he tore off her space-bodice and surged into her loins.

On the other hand, you do have to admire the persistently wrongheaded ability to bring our armed forces, heretofore second to none in the world, to the brink of failure. Once our leader has succeeded at impressing our enemies with our arrogant singlemindedness, the war will surely be won.
