I have this nagging feeling that we've gotten off the topic which dys meant to start -- i.e. US/Mexican relations. Taco Hell is tangential to that.

I looked up norte americanos on google, and see they refer to north american native populations.

Having quibbled, I assume dys means tensions between Mexico and the US.

I'm not aware of any sudden change, but then I'm not such an aware person.
