Tamarra will be Canadia Day, the ol' girl will be 136 years old. I'll be considerable busy these next few days, so i thought i'd get this started now, and avoid the holiday rush.

'Mericans, Brits, Kiwis and Ozzys beware: The Canajuns will have the day off July 1st, and will no doubt launch a putsch to take over the site . . . be ready with yer tin-foil hats and doughnut repellant . . .

oh you are a Canadian, well that certainly would explain a lot. Do your primitive jingoistic feasts include the ritual of setting meat on fire? Blowing up of hands and butts? despoiling vast acreage by fire? No id say not. Dont worry, I hear that some dude in San Bernadino is planning to market "how to celebrate " kits to other third world nations, perhaps we can interest you in an unlimited area license.

Im only kidding, why if it werent for Canadians we wouldnt have ... uhh... lets see, well there is call forwarding , and prebilling for telephone service... and dulse, uhh.... Oh yeh and Codfish head soup... then theres spackle gravy and dehydrated moose. I could go on and on but I need to get a haircut.

CANADIAN BACON is neither Canadian, nor bacon.

I've got a Canadian flag to wave. Got it at a Canada Day party a few years ago. I think we drank Kokanee beer...

Eh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CANADA or, as our rhinestone cowboy said, "One of our neighbors to the north."

Here's a toast to Canjuns one and all.

Here's to Michael J. Fox, hockey, back bacon, toques, the Quebec separatist movement, Dan Aykroyd, the Bay of Fundy and Peter Jennings?*

* Not necessarily in that order.

Let's go drink Mooseheads in Moose Jaw!

Now, that Dan Ackroyd. He's one of the nicest guys ever. He lives near my hometown, and he's a country yard sale regular. Does lots of charity fund-raising, and is a really decent employer ( a friend of the family does work around the house and yard for him ). A good member of his community. I'm definitely proud to think of him as a canajun.

The Canadian anthem is a good one. Very stirring. A better tune than the US has, though I know saying it probably makes me vulnerable to arrest by the Homeland Security Force. Then straight to Guantanamo!
