Harriet Miers, President Bush's failed Supreme Court nominee and longtime adviser, on Thursday submitted her resignation as White House counsel. It seems to me that Harriet didn't simply resign, she was fired. George Bush thought she was good enough to sit on the Supreme court but now it seems she is not good enough to serve as counsel to the president. Perhaps George is afeared of Charlie Rangel?
Proof? or did you just make that up? She was there for 6 years.

Oh, excuse me, i thought everything you said was gospel, at least you've led people to believe that. I personally think you're a ninny, just my observation, mind you.
Noun 1. ninny - a stupid foolish person
yeah probably true
I personally have never believed a word dyslexia has said, at least not since he told me vegimite sucked.
I make a point of not believing anything Dys says.
Especially if I'm not, actually, near any computer at the time I hear him saying it.
Creeps me out though.
Then again, it could be worse.
I could be hearing LSM.
So Habibi hears voices . . . i'm not surprised . . .
(What . . . what was that . . . damn, speak up ! ! ! )
'Scuse me . . . i'll be right back . . .
I don't know that she was fired, precisely. I think there must have been some "mutual discussions", or possibly more than two people discussions, about the possibility of a situation out of her league, meetings with a certain tenor to them.
I don't think that is such a slam - lotta stuff out of a lot of our leagues.
I do think the SCourt nomination was foolhardy, and difficult for her.
I'm not a fan of hers, not least for a combination of pleasure and acceptance at being asked to go for jobs she was outofleague at, mixed with seeming hero worship, but the processes of her selection get more opprobrium from me than she does.
I know, I know, O'Connor didn't have an over the top resume... but she wasn't out of league.

No danger of it, believe that. I wouldn't get withinn a 40 mile radius of you.
And we're back here on WLSM radio, where everything is black and white, and being an abrasive jackass is cool! Okay, let's go to the phones. The topic of the day is, "John Kerry is a baby-killer and Nancy Pelosi is a baby-molester...who would you prefer to have watching of your kids?" Well, what do you think? Call in right now at 1-800-P-I-N-H-E-A-D!
Miers was probably anxious to leave before the indictments started rolling in.
Can't blame her.
Oops. That was me, not Bear.

Isn't vegimite some kind of compressed yeast, or something?
Never tasted the stuff, but I'm inclined to think Dys might have a point there.
