Nobody shot anybody. It says so right in the article.

He said the troops withdrew safely, no shots were fired and no one suffered injuries.

Read the article again. They crossed the border fired at the troops and then crossed back over again.

Well, I suppose such happens now and than at many borders. (One of the reasons, the border police is armed as well, btw.)

You misspelled "approached".

The Minutemen send groups of armed men down to the border, don't they?

The nationality of these armed men is also unknown, you are jumping to conclusions that they are Mexicans (as if Mexicans are the only nationality that would own guns). They could just as well have been Americans.

It is possible that this whole thing could have been prevented with better gun control laws.

So a group of guys with guns walks up to a weekend warrior post in the dark. Next thing both groups boogie on out of Dodge in opposite directions. I don't think you're going to get Clint Eastwood to star in the tv movie.
