That would be ideal. We should check that out -- the bills were awful this year, plus it's just plain drafty in here. Thanks!

PBS: Ask This Old House article on many alternatives to increasing insulation in walls of old homes, including spray foam.

Damn. Our gas in this drafty old house was $300 for the last cycle and I about sh@t myself. $600. Damn.

I was talking about the $673 bill I posted about a couple pages back. The new place is 2300 sq feet & 2 floors, this isn't going to be cheap either.

Our first gas bill post-roof seems much better. Will keep track and do some serious number crunching after a couple more months.

Oh -- I'd missed that this was an old thread. It was just a link to an article about a 28% increase in natural gas rates in Boston beginning in May. Here 'tis.
