@edgarblythe,
A dobie? I love dobies that I have known; possibly fear others but not usually. There was the dobie my later business partner saw thrown off a truck on I think the 605 freeway and picked up in her truck, dog with broken hip, if I remember, put in her cab. That one was super personal to her when food trucks came around on construction sites.

@roger,
Quote:
Leo? You're a sucker for down and out cats, aren't you? Whatever happened to Pugsley, or should I not ask?

Aye, Roger, Pugsy went to that great cattery in the sky, about four years ago, I reckon it was. Was at the vets for a routine teeth cleaning and was sedated. Unfortunately he never awoke. An easy departure though he was by no means ready to go, nor were we prepared to see him off.

While Leo was with us at home, I had Gabby at work. Signed on at six weeks of age. She was there, and still is, 24/7. Spent the day in a file tray on my desk, before clocking in as security guard at 4 o'clock. I've stopped in a few times since retiring last year, including a short visit last Wednesday, and there she was in the file tray on my old desk. Gave me a lick on the hand followed by a clout on the ear. Same old Gab.

@edgarblythe,
FBM, I like the three black dots on the green back of the grasshopper. Thanks for the pic. And you're a very good kid to help vonny.

Bill, Thanks for filling me in on Despicable me.

c.i., Butterflies are beauties. Thanks for the pic from Costa Rica.

Debacle, I know that feline look. The ears back are a dead giveaway. Something or someone is going to get pounced on toot sweet.

vonny, Harvey was, indeed, a beauty. Thanks for sharing that gawgeous face with us.

HH, You're trying to kill me. Four in one. I've recovered from my latest thud. You'd think that by now I would know enough to put some kinda cushion on the floor next to the computer. Beyond cute. Thanks mucho.

edgar, That dobie is gonna get buck teeth from sucking on that thing. Great pic. Thanks.

@edgarblythe,
I'm deeply concerned that this Doberman has just eaten a baby.

American Goldfinch. This morning we had, must have been, 3 dozen of these beauties in the Russian sage near the back door.

Obviously they like Russian sage a great deal.

But they don't like these:

And when Leo appeared to see what all the racket was about, they were off in a golden flash, in that characteristic undulating flight.

We found this hiding in our garage this morning. It's a Milk Snake. They are supposedly common in New Hampshire, but this is only the second one I've seen in my life. 90% of the time, if someone sees a snake, it's going to be a Garter Snake. But not this time Smile

@rosborne979,
That is a beautiful animal. I'm from further south, so I saw them a lot growing up. As a matter of fact, I found a 3.5' one in my bedroom closet once. Wink

A flutterby. Wrong lens to get a sharp image. Sorry about that.
