@roger,
Wow, thanks Roger. Took me a couple of attempts, but ..... eureka - we have lift-off! Thank you so much.

I'll write that down so (hopefully) I don't forget!

Oh, and I've just discovered the quote button - gosh, getting somewhere at last!!! Very Happy

@vonny,
Nope. Note that the 'img' notation in your posts occurs at the end of the link - twice. Needs to be once at the front and once at the end. Be sure that onceyou copy the link, you highlight the entire link before pressing the 'img' box. If you use the quote button on my post, you will see how it should look.

Also, at the bottom of the text box, you have a choice of "Reply" or "Preview". You might use Preview till you get the hang of it.

rosborne, When I googled the caterpillar, I got to see the adult form. Gawgeous. But the caterpillar still leaves me bedazzled. Shocked The hummingbird is another stunner. Thanks for providing the bird at rest and in flight. I'm amazed that that teeny weeny animal can stay up in the air with such a tail.

HH, Thanks for the warning. I didn't thud, but there was some major plotzing going on here. Sighing big time. It's a good thing I can't have any more pets. I'd go out and kidnap one of those red pandas. Love 'em a lot. Thanks.

vonny, The swine touch the cockles of my heart. Thanks for contributing. And congrats on posting the giraffes pic your very own self. I'm a giraffe fan. Love dem calves.

Barry, I laughed out loud when I saw that leopard in the box. I don't know why PCs like boxes. I can hazard a guess. They like the feeling of security of being completely enclosed--like a den. Hey what do I know. I like being in small spaces too. Equines and felines. Glad they seem to be getting along.

Gorgeosity beyond words:

@Roberta,

Gorgeosity

I found this only in Worthless Word For The Day, which is a terrible name for a site that holds many many fascinating, and damn useful words, [and in Urban Dictionary] .

I'm not sure if you coined the word, Roberta, no one's [oops, sorry JoefromChicago and Eva] complained about it, not that that would matter. It has meaning, it suits the language purpose, in other words, it's a word.

@vonny,
You seem to have the pic thing nailed, Vonny. I'm still not up to your standards.

@JTT,
If I have it nailed it is because of Roger! I didn't have a clue how to post the pictures until he so kindly explained it to me a day or so ago. I'm still a total novice. Embarrassed There are an awful lot of giraffes on this thread - my early efforts at posting!!! Rolling Eyes

Here's a tale from my first trip to Kenya.
We stayed overnight at the Treetops Lodge....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treetops_Hotel
This was in the days when you had to load your camera with film and,because I was too click happy on safari,I ran out of film.
We were sitting on the viewing balcony,sipping a hot chocolate,because the temperature plummets at night.We were looking at a Rhino who had come to drink at the waterhole when a herd of around 50 jumbos of all sizes arrived.Up until now,Mr Noserous had been number one,doing what he wanted to do,and chasing off other smaller animals.
He started to "throw his weight around" with the smaller jumbos who wanted to drink.This lasted for around 30 minutes until a huge jumbo walked up to him,side on,and using his/her tusks,lifted Mr Noserous up and dumped him in the water.
He made a hasty retreat into the darkness.

@Barry The Mod,
Did I read that right, Barry? An elephant can toss a grown rhino?
