Bunnies under the covers and handfed otters. What a luxury existence these beasties have. Two wonderful pix, dj. Thanks mucho.
@Arella Mae,
goldie's a fine looking horse
i love eagles (any raptor actually)
we get quite few red tailed hawks in my area
@Roberta,
That white weasel is proof that one can't judge a character by its disparaged species name. Too cute!
Roberta? Has Mikey ever scaled Mount Everest? It looks like he was training for mountain climbing.
Thanks Dj for the most consistent overdose of cute these past couple of weeks. Now I'm struggling to figure what species to be reincarnated into: bunny or otter.
AM? That set of action shots? One eagle on the prowl; one horse in arrears (he's up and arms because the sherrif is threatenting to foreclose on his saddle); and that kitten eyeing the viewer for vulnerabilities before attacking(
)!
Arella Mae, I love all the pics you posted, but the one that made me plotz (not faint) was the paso fino. Sigh. I love that Goldie and your friend have the same color hair. (I once had a parakeet named Goldie.) The white thoroughbred is indeed rare and wonderful. He grew up well. (I once had a rare white parakeet named Snow.)
tsar, Mikey, like most cats, liked to be someplace high. I chose that picture of him to give you sense of scale. He was a big boy. But not the mountain climbing type. More your blue-collar kinda guy. The scale thing didn't work. I bought one of those kitty condos for Mikey. Ledges and cubbies for him to rest in or on. (Back in the day when I could afford such frivolities) He didn't fit on the ledges and couldn't get in the cubbies. Like I said, I BIG boy.
My friend and her husband were visiting me. My friend had been here before. It was the first time for her husband. Mikey was in the other room taking a nap. He eventually decided to join us. Bob (the husband) was in midsentence when Mikey entered the room. Bob stopped, stared, and said, "That's the biggest cat I've ever seen."
A 5-year-old terrier dog and 8-week-old kitten, which were found abandoned outside a factory in Melbourne, Victoria, have formed a special friendship at the Pet's Haven Animal Shelter in Woodend, with the dog taking on the role of mother to the kitten, allowing it to suckle from her.

British photographer Kate Westaway, who took the images in the Dominican Republic, has developed a simple technique which is making her images popular across the world. The 33 year-old, from Bristol, found that, having photographed the majestic beasts underwater, she could get an amazing effect by simply flipping the image upside down.

@Arella Mae,
Oh, Arctic White is one beautiful horse! I'm sure he will be a star.
Irish, Love the dog/kitten pic. Glad the polar bear has something to keep him occupied. That whale looks rightside up to me.
littlek, Truly wonderful photo. Thanks mucho.
