@tsarstepan,
I look at the cat, beautiful, and look at the (?) clover.. and remember that when Diane and I went to the grocery store yesterday a woman and her child were passing out roses*. I accepted the rose. Carried it in my cart. We packed our stuff into her car.

I'm thinking D has a dead rose in her car.....

*Was this an individual act with a woman who wanted to share?
Was it for donations (didn't seem so)
I usually don't go to grocery stores on saturdays and probably miss a lot because of that.
I remember the store in Arcata often had a musician playing, wonderfully, on a saturday, at the front of the store, a place with seating so you could chomp on the Ramone's bakery items with a good coffee. (Wildberries, how I miss it).

Wildberries - Looks like they've remodelled..

I am not a beer person, but I've never seen such a choice of local and artisan beers, plus international.

@tsarstepan,
Wonderful, as was the cat.

How can you tell who took the photo? I am a sticky wicket about this..

@ossobuco,
With a ping of guilt, I can't answer that question. There isn't any sign of who owns the taken the photograph or whom owns the copyright.... I asked on the page to see if I could break this mystery.

@tsarstepan,
Thanks. Our gallery showed photographers, many of whom care about this.
Often, one can tell by chasing the URL. Didn't see that this time.

I had an early war of sorts to Izzie of all people, when I didn't realize the photos were her own (blush multiplied).

Old and slow, c'est moi. Just finished a giganto project. Yes, it's 5:15 a.m. Sorry, gang. I'm too pooped to switch back and forth to make sure I know who posted what. I'm grateful to each of you. From memory (hope I won't be tested). Love the orange bird and the black and white cat. I also love the sheep in the snow.

I remember this one. Osso, love the videos. The dog working the ball throwing machine is a doozy.

This is Zee. She is the great, great, great granddaughter of Sea Biscuit. She is at Trainer Dave's. He said she is FAST! I need to get a better picture of her when Dave posts one.

@Arella Mae,
Zee is lovely!

Those flamingoes are spectacular..
we used to have some in our small zoo in very northern california. Well, no doubt they are still there, it's just me that isn't. Anyway, they were a bit of an odd match next to the redwood grove..

Here's a new one from SFGate:

"Pup-ulation explosion: Back in September in Nauen, Germany, a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Etana had 17 puppies, all of which survived. These are nine of them - wait, 10. Missed that fellow on the far left at first."

Irish, Glad to see the turtle. Not so sure about the underwater Santa.

Arella Mae, What does a happy turtle look like? Just wondering.

Wasn't Sea Biscuit a thoroughbred? Zee is mighty fine, but not a thoroughbred. I guess there was some mixing and matching in the breeding department.

Firefly, Wonderful flamingo photos. We all know how flamingos get their pinkish/orangish coloring, right?

osso, 17 puppies. I gave an involuntary grunt when I read that. Too cute and wonderful. The mother dog didn't look overly harried. The mother human, on the other hand, looked like she could use a nap.

Rosborne, Be still my heart. What a gorgeous picture.

@Roberta,
I have at least one happy turtle in my photos to show, but am going to wait to dig the photos out to scan, etc. In the meantime, I've seen them at least pleased.
