tsar, Beautiful pidge. Love dem oiban boids.

hingehead, Holy moley, that's one big seal. Is it an elephant seal?

Three-toed sloth, mother and baby:

http://lrff.org/photos-costa-rica/three-toad-sloth-%26-baby.jpg

Second photo of sloth mama and babe in two days. Here's some sloth trivia. You're not interested? You can skip this part. Sloths are rarely hunted. They don't move much, so they're hard to spot. Also, human hunters generally don't bother. Why? You can shoot and kill a sloth but it won't fall to the ground. It's still hanging onto the tree. Even if they're up there and die of natural causes, they don't always fall to the ground.

The only time they come to the ground is to take a dump and pee. They do this about once a week. These guys have very slow metabolisms.

I don't have any info on sloth mating habits, but I'm taking a semi-educated guess that she ain't complaining about him being in a hurry. (Or vice versa. Don't want to be viewed as sexist.)

BIL sent me these pics of a Black Fawn, it was spotted near Beamsville Ontario, apparently even rarer than an albino fawn

@hingehead,
I love when captions are added to animal pictures. I've always felt animals can talk to us in one form or another. This seal is just tooooooooo precious!

Here's a grown one - best full photo I could find. I think the fellow is the one writing on the bird in the URL link.

Oh, the baby cockatoo is just adorable. I don't think I've ever seen a black cockatoo before.
