About five days a week, my wife and I walk in this park (Burroughs). When the geese and ducks see us coming, they come to us to get bread crumbs. Today, they followed us almost almost all the way from one end of the lake to the other, hoping to gain seconds on the grub.

@edgarblythe,
What a tough crowd!

Leave you wallet and jewelry at home EB when you go to the park. I can imagine that one day you'll run out too early with your breadcrumbs and this gang will just roll all over you and wife and they'll take your money and credit cards and your watch, etc....

@tsarstepan,
The geese are pretty aggressive with the ducks. I have heard that some ganders will attack people, but not these, so far. There was another bird in the lake this afternoon. It is dark, small as a robin and resembles a duck to my limited vision. It dives and travels a great distance before coming up.

Well, the snowflake/logo affair has been revealed. Some people don't know how to keep their mouths shut. Or it's a white peacock--not an albino. Just a different variety of peacock.

Edgar, Thanks for the water pics and water fowl. Looks like a wonderful place to take a walk. Some larger water fowl, like the geese, can be mighty aggressive. I have a photo of me taken in Frogner Park in Oslo, Norway. I'm being chased by a male swan.

Cuban Tree Frog, Florida

Photograph by James Snyder

This is a Cuban tree frog on a tree in my backyard in southern Florida. How and why he ate this light is a mystery. It should be noted that at the time I was taking this photo, I thought this frog was dead, having cooked himself from the inside. I'm happy to say I was wrong. After a few shots he adjusted his position. So after I was finished shooting him, I pulled the light out of his mouth and he was fine. Actually, I might be crazy but I don't think he was very happy when I took his light away."

@Barry The Mod,
Morning Barry.

Perhaps he thought it was a lightning bug? A very robust lightning bug.

Or perhaps she dreams of being the Lady Gaga of the frog world?
