Two stallions fight for dominance and mating rights in a herd of wild horses. Photographer Henri Ton, 41, captured the fight between the Koniks, or Polish primitive horses, at a nature reserve in Loevenstein, The Netherlands

That picture takes my breath away.

@Ionus,
Quite astute observation Ionus. Those ducks have absolutely no manners! Rolling Eyes

They're mooning the photographer!

Morning New York. The London Parrot. An Indian Ringneck....

and now the story behind that pic -
4 or 5 years ago,a crate of these feathered guys was being off-loaded at London Heathrow to be transferred to an onward flight. The unloading fork lift truck hit a bump, the crate hit the deck and broke open and the occupants took flight. They settled in a west London park and have, over the years, spread to all parts of London. Here's a couple of pics taken from my first floor balcony....

They're noisy little buggers but a great new addition to our local wildlife.

Irish, The horse picture leaves me speechless (doesn't happen very often). Unbelievable and thanks.

Olga, Duck tushes. Adorable in a feathery tushie sort of way. Thanks also.

Francis, Baby cheetahs. Love dem felines. Wonderful. Thanks.

Barry, Love dem boids. I'm surprised they can survive in a nontropical climate. They are beauties. It must be nice to have them flapping around London. When I was in England, I visited Windsor Castle. A flock of parakeets landed on the lawn.

Beautiful Animals....hmmmm.

(plays with moustache in a rakish manner)

Would I be allowed to post a picture of Raquel Welch, when she appeared in 1,000,000bc, on this thread?
Or had she evolved too much by then?

She did quite a bit of evolving at that time if I remember correctly, so I won't take it to heart if my request is refused.

Spot the difference: these are twin jaguar cubs that were born at Loro Parque, in Tenerife, the Canary Islands. One has a black coat and the other a scattering of spots on a golden coat. Jaguars are generally tawny yellow with black rosettes, however about six per cent of this big cat family have an almost entirely black coat

old goat, The most evolved individuals on this thread are great apes. Sorry, but you'll have to post you picture of Raquel elsewhere.

Irish, Stunning felines. Stunning photo. Thanks, kid.

A lioness gently picks up one of her three newborn cubs in her mouth to move them to safety after a buffalo attack. The watchful mum carefully carried each one-day old cub between her jaws to a nearby bush for safety. Photographer Ole Jorgen Liodden snapped the shots as he sat hidden in a nearby bush at the Okavago in Botswana for more than three hours.

Francis, I'm made assumptions before and been right. Hope I'm right again. There is more to that dog, isn't there?

Barry, Thanks for the boid closeup.

Irish, Amazing shot. I've said it before, but it bears repeating. Dem wildlife photographers is nuts. But I hope they don't sane up. I love the results.

Here's a pigeon for ya. A Victoria crested pigeon.
