@Roberta,
Regardless of the tiger's willingness or lack therein to chow and munch on humans, the poor thing needs some exercise and a reason to live. Personally, I have grown to hate how wild animals like this tiger have their wild lives are made ... um... less wild. Ideally these great animals would live unmolested in the great clean wilderness where wild animals can be wild animals.

@tsarstepan,
tsar, I would want the same ideal--animals living unmolested in the great clean wilderness. The chances of this happening are remote. Wild animals in captivity is far less than ideal. This may ulitmately be the only place for some species.

The tiger in questions certainly appears overweight. However, I read about this tiger. It does have acitivities and exercise access. Is it miserable? I don't know? Neither do you.

I posted nine out of ten of the fastest land animals. The only two that are without controversy concerning their placement in the group are numbers 1 and 2. Number 2 is the pronghorn. And number 1 is . . .

the cheetah:

Ohe he is pretty! He looks like he's wearing a ski mask. The cheetah is a work of art, isn't he? Never seen a tree snail so that's another new one for me. I think of all the creatures, it is the sea creatures that amaze me the most.

@Arella Mae,
Arella Mae, When I started this thread, I had no idea what we'd be finding over the years. The sea creatures have been the biggest surprise for me too. Amazing living creatures in the ocean. And we haven't really seen all that's down there. We're still finding stuff.

@Roberta,
He looks like a velvet string purse! I am more than amazed at the colors and the brilliance of the sea creatures. That little seahorse? You can just see personality all over him. The nudibranches cause me to drop my jaw.

@Roberta,
What dog? I can't see no polka dotted dog in that pic! Shocked

Is this one of those magic eye pictures that you're supposed to stare at for hours on end to decipher its hidden image?

@tsarstepan,
tsar, When I was looking around google for pics, I saw a bunch of polka dots. Could not make out the presence of a dog until I got the picture larger.
