@Roberta,
Isn't it something how every color, fur, feather, quill, etc. has a reason? It makes perfect sense that his butt could be seen so others wouldn't lose sight of him but I never would have known it if you hadn't told me.

I know what you mean about wanting the eagle to have our consciousness. I want so much to know what my animals are thinking sometimes. Especially my mule. He is so smart. He faked being hurt the other day so Big Mac would get upset and get back in the pasture with him. So, I know they have thoughts. They can reason things out. Animals are so amazing.

@Roberta,
I really love this possible seeming fractal nature of the wild pooch's fur coat. Very abstract expressionist!

@Barry The Mod,
Thanks, Barry. Tres interesting. I admit that I wish we humans would stop genetically altering stuff. But that is one big fish.

@ossobuco,
If you never heard of a nene, either you're not from Hawaii or you don't do crossword puzzles. Nene is in a lot of puzzles. I finally decided to see what it looked like. A lovely bird.

I couldn't see the otter pic. I clicked on show picture but no dice. Water therapy is great for humans and I guess it's great for animals too!

@Arella Mae,
The otter pups disappeared for me too. Where'd they go. They were cuties.

I'll repost it. BTW, these are giant river otter from South America.
