Yes, Arella Mae. A real shrimp. Because they're so beautiful, they're sometimes kept as pets. They can't be in a tank with anything else. They'll eat everything else. They are smashers; they use their big claws to smash other animals. (Not vicious; just making a living.)

According to Wikipedia, these little shrimpies have the fastest punch in the animal kingdom (50 mph). That's how I first heard about them.

That's beautiful. Me, I'm afeared of rattlers, so part of the beauty is that the photographer seems to be cool in the circumstance (unless it's telephoto, and maybe even then).

AAAARRGH, camera totally dead, had some great videos of a falcon nest on a pole by a lake, gone Crying or Very sad

oh well, new camera, now to start stalking the local wildlife
