@Roberta,
Oh how beautiful that glass squid is! I swear, I stay in a constant state of amazement because of this thread. I love it so much.

Here is a jaguar. He is so black he looks blue. Now THAT'S a kitty!

Stunning, Arella Mae. Positively stunning. Thanks mucho.

At the other end of the color spectrum, how about some white lions?

Nudibranches mating....

The bright, contrasting hues of mating nudibranchs—sea slugs found in reefs and the deep ocean—warn potential predators of their venomous, unpalatable flesh. Equipped with both male and female reproductive organs, each nudibranch fertilizes the other, and both produce eggs.

It's definitely an iguana, but I think he's undergone a bit of "enhancement" from photoshop to bring out his colors Smile

@rosborne979,
Seriously? Well, that sucks! I was almost thinking maybe lizards aren't so yucky afterall.

@Arella Mae,
Arella Mae, Lizards? Yucky. Don't be silly. Here's a gila monster. One of the few venomous lizards. The first time I saw one I thought it was a beaded bag with legs.

Basilisk (aka Jesus Christ lizard; when it feels threatened, it runs on water):

Frilled lizard:

Probably far more lizards than you ever wanted to see, Arella Mae. I'm stopping. I would have thrown in some chameleons (wonderful colors), but I doubt you'd trust the color.

@Roberta,
He sure does look like a beaded bag with legs and that one with the orange head and blue is so pretty. LOL he runs on water! I love that. That last guy looks mean but that is a pretty color. Maybe lizards aren't so yucky afterall. I'm just not really a reptile type of person.

@Arella Mae,
I admit to being less partial to some kinds of animals than others, Arella Mae. But I try to keep an open mind and represent all kinds of animals on this thread. I think there's beauty in them all, even if I don't want some of them wandering around my apartment.
