That spotted salamander looks like a kindergartner painted on his spots. They don't look too natural on this particular guy or gal....

Still... good luck to him or her in his search for a delicious feast of whatever bugs salamanders eat! Very Happy

was over near the north side of the county, and went for a walk to the lake, in the ditch along the road i saw.......

Had a ruffed grouse following us up a laneway the other day. They can move pretty fast. Didn't get a photograph, but here's a video of another friendly grouse.

Earlier this spring we found a robin eggshell in the yard. Now we have the baby robins hopping and flapping around. Happily they can fly well enough to get away from the dogs.

osso, I just sent that loris video to my cousin. I sent him the sloth one yesterday. The heading: The slow loris, faster than a speeding sloth. Love them both. Thanks for finding and sharing them.
