@Roberta,
I love those wild dogs so dearly. I wonder if anyone has tried to integrate the breed into the domesticated side of the global dog world?

@tsarstepan,
tsar, I did a bit of googling on this. Couldn't find much. The dogs are considered wild animals, not dogs gone wild. I imagine there might be some attempts at hybrids, but I couldn't find anything. I'm terrible at this sort of thing.

The dogs not only look wonderful, but they're fast (among the top-ten fastest land animals on the planet) and relentless.

Glad I found something you love dearly.

@Roberta,
Their coats make excellent inspiration for abstract expressionistic paintings!
~~~
One learns something new everyday and from the weirdest places. As an editor to the Urban Dictionary, I okayed the submission (not out of condoning this alleged fetish) out of the discovery of a new type of animal I have never heard of.
Quote:
pangolinism
Pangolinism is a sexual obsession with pangolins, a scaly anteater.
A terrible addiction.
I wonder and am petrified to see what inspired this guy to submit such a term to the urban dictionary.
Francis, Lovely sweet lambs. Thanks.
tsar, It won't come as a complete surprise to you that I know about pangolins, will it. Somewhere in the dark reaches of this thread, I posted a pic or two. They're excellent at rolling up. This person/prevert does not amuse me.
@Letty,
You want him, Letty. Give a holler. He'll come ambling over.
Thanks for the tapir, not only a fine animal but an overused crossword puzzle word.
@dadpad,
You never heard of Ansel Adams, one of the greatest nature photographers in the history of the medium? Sad
Boida.... Osso... prepare to plotz... oh Boida, I just snapped away thinking BOIDA's gonna love these magnificent beasties and babies.... everytime I saw the big macho dude/ette with the HUGE massive horns -all I could think of was McTag Shocked Wink I half expected the beastie to say "Ach aye the noo cooo"...
the foals... what can you say (most pics showed hugely well endowed Shocked accessories which... well, kinda took away from the snap (we breed 'em big in Devon.... haha! Wink so I've put the dignified pics up Very Happy
oh Boida, youda love it up there -big wide open spaces, barren as heck, beautiful contrasting colours with the gorse... and these rather "royal" looking beasts. The foals... well, I fell in love them - could have watched them kicking around for hours. Only me on the moor which was nice, few riders and a couple joggers on the road... but peaceful up there... LOVED IT.
Managed to get real close to the little one laying down, MaMa watched me closely - he was soundo and all of a sudden heard me click and was faster than lightening.
Lovely time up there... beautiful.
@Izzie,
Izzie, I hope you're satisfied. I plotzed all over the computer, other parts of the living room, into the bathroom. I stayed outta the kitchen. It's clean in there.
The photos take my breath away. You have a true gift, my friend. A gift. A real eye for beauty and light and color. Thank you, thank you.
You did however make one teeny tiny teeny weeny mistake in judgment. Nothing serious. You said, "oh Boida, youda love it up there -big wide open spaces, barren as heck, beautiful contrasting colours with the gorse."
I'd love the beauty, but what the hell am I gonna do schlepping around in gorse?
Norwary is a gorgeous, beautiful, breathaking country with color and light and water that are beyond spectacular. After my third day there, I said to my friend, "If I don't get some concrete under my feet, I'm gonna have a noivous breakdown."
I'm impossible, incorrigible, and totally oiban.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
