but I would really prefer not to show dead animals on this thread.

Ok, but for information purposes, look here:

Quote:
When a hognose snake that's facing a predator flips belly-up, its mouth opens and stays agape, sometimes oozing drops of blood. And the snake defecates or otherwise releases an unappetizing smell.

@Francis,
Yup, Francis. I knew about these snakes playing dead. I've seen films. When the danger is gone, they flip over and slither away.

tsar, You go ahead and give Fluffy a bear hug. Then Fluffy will give you a Fluffy hug. My money's on Fluffy.

@Roberta,
Odd, I thought they entrapped the snake, Roberta. Guess you had to be there.

Pebble toad.

@dlowan,
But it's poking it's tongue out (very rudely!) at the poor hedgehog, which was just minding it's own business!

Sticking your tongue out doesn't make you a bully. It just makes you a tongue-sticker-outer. Possibly a bit bratty.

The bunny and hedgehog are cute, if not the closest of friends.

olga, That lizard is a stunner. Thanks, kid.

There's sticking your tongue out and then there's sticking your TONGUE out!

@tsarstepan,
I'm not taking an apple away from him! If the giraffe wants it, let him come and get it.

I love the giraffe! Too funny!

Here are some pictures that my trainer's girlfriend took out at his place:

Apache (the grey/blue roan) is a range mustang that was rescued. They are fighting over a new female that came to the herd. They are both geldings.
