Glad to see that poodle is generous with her milk. Of course I wonder if the milk from a carnivore is good for squirrels, but it's a warm scene that makes me smile.
Scientists have cracked the genetic code of a songbird, the zebra finch, for the first time. They have identified more than 800 genes linked to song-learning, and hope their discovery may shed light on human speech disorders. Baby zebra finches learn to sing in virtually the same way as human babies learn to speak " by copying their elders " which means the tiny bird should serve as a valuable model for understanding human learning and memory.

He's really half wolf/half dog/half polar bear ... okay a squirrel told me this fact when I showed her this photograph. Okay, admittedly I don't think she passed basic mathematics but she may have a point.
A panther chameleon climbs along a branch in Madagascar. These lizards can grow up to 20 inches in length and may change color based on mood and light. These territorial creatures lead solitary existences, but have been kept as pets.
