Boida et al... this is a real treat for me. Even tho these aren't mine photos, they have a lotta heart in them - G has given me his blessing to post these pics of his safari. I've told him about y'all- each person that I at yabber with... so he knows these are going onboard to very special folk. He was so blessed to go to Kenya. Just so pleased he said he would share them with y'all.
so........... here goes. Will take me a while no doubt
Fabulous pictures. This week the first baby elephant born in captivity in Australia was shown live on television because of the uniqueness of the event. All went well and it was a moving experience.

great pics, really looking forward to seeing the rest
Some of the shots are from the lodge - up close and personal. They were in vans for the lion shots later - literally - a lions breath away. G was petrified! Bless! The guides really know their National Parks and safety limits - but that ONE MaMa lion got awful close!!! Would get up 5.30am - off out by 6, back to the lodge, off on another drive, back, off again... has night drive (with the scary lion) - mostly in bed by 9ish... very full on.
Anyhoo... this is how far his lodge (in the middle of nowhere) was from the watering hole... pretty close a? The animals all come by (ahhhhh... wait 'til you see the giraffes <sigh> - truly AMAZING experience. The elephants would play in the water shooting water/mud/red sand everywhere. Everything is coated in a red sand mist.
POOMBAHS!!!! hakuna matata - no worries <breaks into song>
Izzie, I'm positively plotzing (look it up) from this. These pictures are beyond belief. Can't tell you how much I would love to take a trip like that. (Ain't gonna happen.) See those animals and that land in person. Have that amazing experience.
Sigh. Truly breathtaking. Please thank G again for me.

@Izzie,
Beautiful shots Izzie, who is the handsome "guide"?
Yep, positively plotzing too. Even tho these are G’s photos " it is so exciting for me " this meant so much to him. G hasn’t travelled before " he took his Dad " his Dad is... maybe 75... his Dad cried a lot. He’s not travelled either. His Dad cried seeing the boids, especially the birds of prey (his Dad has an aviary and umpteen parrots) and the cheetah, the cheetah made them cry " he said that he never believed in his lifetime that he would see such a beautiful animal in the wild. Their family is all about animals " it’s their business, it’s their love, it’s their life. For them to see this for real " well, it was a dream come true.
I can only imagine thru G’s eyes what it must be like to see this for real. One day tho " I’m gonna do this
Ahhhhhhhhhh
quite far away, grainy...
His back has 12 boids on
So, the sun rises
and you look out your bedroom window
can you imagine!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here’s looking at you kid
<Lions next>
<yep BEAgle... that is he " he is verra handsome - but gonna take that pic off " just wanted Boida to see how close he was I told him today that y'all were looking at his pics and said thank you - he had the biggest smile and said "they're very welcome" He's a bit like me tho - neither of us have figured out how our cameras work properly - so a lot are kinda hit and miss! He did great tho - fab giraffe ones when I get the chance to upload - just FAb... and hyenas - so gorgeous>

Be still my heart. A dream trip. Gazelles. Cape buffalo. Giraffes. More.
Drooling all over the keyboard. If it short-circuits, it'll be on your head, Izzie.
