dj, Dem bees are camera-shy.

George, Love that flamingo sitting? Kneeling? What the hell is it doing? Not gonna complain that a human has somehow gotten a picture posted on this thread (not that I don't think humans are beautiful). I'm impressed as hell at your efforts to blend in. Not only is the position right, but the color works too.

Spectacular photos from all in the last few pages.. Izzie, you've outdone yourself. Letty, that's gorgeous. Dj's always interesting..
George, the perfect photo set. Roberta, that horse looks unreal-ly gorgeous.

well, here's a cutie from the SF chronicle Day in Pictures group - two cubs and mama, but it took me a while to discern mama..

Letty, That bird's in your backyard?! Wow.

osso, That horse better not be unreal. But a second look makes me wonder. Took me a while to make out the the mother lion. Wonderful sleepy cubs.

@ossobuco,
Meet Millie... shes got bad hind legs - can't walk properly - not even a little bit remotely - it's like they are diconnected from her hips - bless her - she's quite happy - about 12 years old. She drags her legs along behind her - is very talkative - we talk a lot... we talk for England. The most vocal cat I have ever known.

osso, That croc's teeth look perfect to me. And if they weren't, would you want to volunteer to fit him with braces?

Izzie, Love dem pics. Thanks for the beautiful felines. Glad your shadow is doing well. Glad Millie gets around with no fuss, no muss. I once had a very vocal cat. Hey, shut up already. Didn't do any good. She kept talking. Damsel flies are delicate and wondrous drops of iridescence.

@Roberta,
They do use braces on sheep, you know, but that's probably not the same as doing a fitting on a croc'.

Lots of dead deer on the road this week. And they just got into their beautiful summer colors too. It's sad to see.

some pretty cool video of a family in alaska with a bunch of bald eagles in their backyard

30 Bald Eagles in the Backyard

"A bunch of bald eagles show up in our back yard. You get to hear a lot of the bald eagles talking. My kids get really close to them, they must really want more red salmon. Right now the salmon are running upstream to spawn so most of the locals are set-netting on the beach and smoking/canning/grilling some sockeye."
