it's possible that you still have it in your cache, but the image no longer exists at

Reg, I clicked on the link, and the picture appeared. Take a gander at Reyn's hat thread. Lots of pictures can't be seen. Something weird is going on. If it's a computer thing, I'm mystified. Even if it ain't, I'm still mystified.

@Roberta,
Talking of which..............

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCKIN ON IZZ'S DOOR...errrrrrr window

every morning

absolutely bizzare 'ole boid - in fact... not one....but... two for the price of one.... the other Mizzle Thrush sits in the field! This one is such a flirt!

So... Sat morning - there he was - as the sun came up - then it started raining and he went! Having woken me up after just a few hours sleep.

Sunday morning - there he was - same thing!

I thought that maybe as the sun comes up he can see his reflection more - then when it rains - he can't see it or just goes back to bed (HA - he knows how to feather his nest a?)

HOWEVER - this morning - 7.15am.... there he is - knock knock knockin'

peck peck peck peckkkkkkkkkkkkk

peck

peck
peck

peck peck peck peck peck peck peck.... and some...

OMLORDY! Quit with the pecking BEAKY!

So... I am exhausted - tried to get some more sleep - no chance - so I go and get the camera - go in to the other bedroom....... he sees me - knocks a few more times and goes! pffffffffffffffsttttttttt.....

THEN... 6pm..... 6pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! knock knock knockin' - I get the camera - even with the flash going off in his little face (because of course it's getting dark) - he sits there pecking away at the window - flies up, hovers... pecks some more. Meanwhile - the other one sits in the field or on the tree watching.

It is SO bizarre.

@Izzie,
Izzie, you have quite the admirer! He is indeed very handsome.

(I get blue jays squawking in my kitchen window. They don't love me -- just the handful of peanuts they've trained me to deliver!)

@Cycloptichorn,
Ha.... laughing here... can't say what I'm thinking!

You know.... I am so tempted to open the window - I wonder what he would do if he did come in - thing is, if he panicked and had a flappy fit..... oh - that would be dreadful.

I wonder if I just open it a little bit - then he might hop in ...

@Region Philbis,
Good thought, Reg. Maybe I can still see it because I caught it while it was available and got it into my cache? Can that happen?

I'm telling you, Izzie. That boid has a thing for you. Love. Ain't it grand?

BTW, don't let that bird into the house. It's a wild animal and could become panicked. Let him keep on drooling on the outside. Have you tried going outside when he's there?

BTW again. Thanks for the glorious pics.

@Region Philbis,
Ha... it's got to the point when I don't hear him knockin - that I walk in the room and actually talk to the darn boid! Embarrassed "ok handsome fella, what, you ignoring me now a?" go downstairs and lo and behold .... knock knock knock.. go back up - he has a few pecks, gives me a nod and a wink and goes away again. I swear he's keeping an eye on me.

Perhaps he's in league with my physio - 'get that gal walking up and down the stairs!' - HA!

No worries Boida - won't let him in - would just get myself in a pickle if he ended up getting hoit! Neutral

Red-cheeked cordon bleu (from Hawaii). Someone sent me a book about birds of Hawaii, so there will be more.
