Hey, Izzie, Great pic. Not concerned with grumpy. That's his problem.
Roberta, I promised to send you a photo of our cat, Dante, on top of Fred's bird cage. Dante learned very early not to let his tail hang down within reach of Fred's beak.
Fred remains the alpha male in the family.
Diane querida, Thanks for the pic of the two beasties. Smiling big time. Tell Fred I said hi.
I was looking for a slug but couldn't find one. So, I took a picture of this dragonfly.
TTH, I'm glad you couldn't find a picture of a slug. That's a very impressive dragon fly. Wow.
Diane bubbele, See the previous page on this thread. You're late to the party, kid. But thanks anyway. Can't have too many hummingboids.
Ocelot:
Squirrel monkeys (throwing in an editorial wow on this one):
I've always loved burros.
I know you love burros, Diane. Thanks for the pic. Still waiting for you and Dys to get one.
Francis, Great photo. The squirrel looks a bit stunned. Well, who wouldn't be. Minding his own business, and whammo. A giraffe takes a lick.
And what a lick a giraffe can take!
No to a burro for us, sadly. If we had an acre of land, yes, but not with our little backyard--I don't like mucking out the yard just with Sally.
Plus, the burro would eat all our veggies.
Too bad, Diane. Dem guys is cute. And you don't have a sufficiently large menagerie. Only three animals (unless you count dys).
This conversation reminds of my first Spanish textbook back in sixth grade. I can't remember what I read ten minutes ago, but I remember that word for word:
El burro es un animal. El burro es un animal pequeno. El burro no es grande.
Do I get an A?
Roberta, you rascal, I could read that small print. Yes I do consider Dys part of the menagerie, the very best part although his beard isn't as soft and silky as Dante's fur.
Those lovable burros are pequeno. Just the right size. And you do get an A+.
The Grey Junglefowl and the Red Junglefowl. Tropical members of the Pheasant family, native to Southeast Asia. Both are ancestors of the modern chicken.

A- for you, Diane. Adjectives must agree in number with the name: - Those lovable burro
s are pequeño
s...
Great plumage on the jungle fowl, Francis. And yes, Diane can use a bit of brushing up on her Spanish. Nobody's poifect. Not even the Lady Di.
I love this face (I think I need to get out more):
Pangolin:
Aha, I don't know Spanish at all. It was just a guess and I wasn't aware of the Spanish grammar. In English, it would be: "Those lovable burros are small."
Thanks for the lesson, Francis. You can be trusted to be forthright, without sarcasm, which helps me learn quite a lot on a2k.
Remember this one? How about a few foster mum pics?
