mesquite, Thanks for the wonderful boid pix. I love dem boids. Like the booby/lizard one. Are they friends or just sharing the same rock? We'll never know. Love the quails. Looks like they're wearing little hats. Cardinal is a stunner.

Thanks for the magnificent snow goose, Mr. Philbis. I often wonder about wildlife photographers and where they are when they take such amazing shots.

Roberta, many of Collins' photos are taken in his yard. The Quail photo was captioned with Popular Gambel's girl. Backyard romance

The caption on this one read -
Momma really doesn't want to share with her yearling daughter. White-tailed does in our yard, March 2008.

This one by Doris Evans was captioned We have had an explosion of baby squirrels. This Harris' Antelope Ground Squirrel is a bit more than half adult size. It's not easy getting a photo. They don't sit still very long.

Another from Doris

Meal time for the Mourning Dove chicks now 8 days old. The babies are exclusively fed "crop milk" which is made up of high protein and fat filled cells from the lining of the parents' crops. Pigeons, doves, and some other birds do this. The photo was taken through a window and the doves were not disturbed, though they have become very used to us coming and going.

mesquite, Wonderful photos. I guess it's nice to have a yard. Who knows what might wander in or take up residence. Love that squirrel, btw.

Tigershark, That is one terrific picture. Poifect!
