Quote:There we sat. About a half hour later, the pilot comes on to report that they are having mmechanical problems. Not to worry, the mechanics think they know what's wrong. Well people, we sat there for another 4 hours waiting for the brain trust at American Airlines to finally give up and admit they couldn't fix it. 4.5 hours on a plane with no food or water. There were babies on that plane!
That seems to be the norm these days: everyone has horrible stories
to tell about air traveling. At least they put you up in a hotel and paid for
it - when I missed a connection flight due to the airlines fault, they didn't
bother at all. You either spent the night at the airport or pay for your
own hotel (which I did). Airfair becomes more and more expensive and
the service gets more and more lousy.
Enough of that, you're home safe and we are looking forward to your
report and photos/videos.
Hope your headache is gone by now.
