I hope Andrea's family is feeling more positive about it now. I met my inlaws the day before our wedding. But they had know I existed for a couple of months already.

I spoke with the bride and groom today. The ceremony will be at 10 AM local time tomorrow. That will be 3 AM my time. I told them I would dream about them. There will be about 40-50 people in attendance-her parents and brother and lots of friends. They'll have a party after at the farm. One of their friends is a photographer, so there will be pictures! I'm going to put together a wedding announcement to send out to our friends and relatives. That will help me feel involved.

They plan to be here in August and we will have a righteous celebration.

Yahoo! This is your celebration
Yahoo! This is your celebration

Celebrate good times, come on! (Let's celebrate)
Celebrate good times, come on! (Let's celebrate)

There's a party goin' on right here
A celebration to last throughout the years
So bring your good times, and your laughter too
We gonna celebrate your party with you

Come on now

Celebration
Let's all celebrate and have a good time
Celebration
We gonna celebrate and have a good time

~~~~~~~~~~
Seasons change, they rearrange
So why cant you and i--say why
Thoughts we find, are so unkind
We often have to cry--but why
Chorus:
Celebrate, change your thoughts to love
Celebrate, what youre thinking of
Time aint long, soon well be moving on,
Moving on...
Natures way for her to say in perfect harmony
Find your place, your past erased
For lifes new destiny.
Chorus:
Celebrate, change your thoughts to love
Celebrate, what youre thinking of
Time aint long, soon well be moving on,
Moving on...
~~~~~~~~~~~~

I just want to celebrate another day of livin'
I just want to celebrate another day of life
I put my faith in the people
But the people let me down
So I turned the other way
And I carry on, anyhow
That's why I'm telling you

I just want to celebrate, yeah, yeah
I just want to celebrate, yeah, yeah
Another day of living,
I just want to celebrate another day of life

Had my hand on the dollar bill
And the dollar bill blew away
But the sun is shining down on me
And it's here to stay
That's why I'm telling you

I just want to celebrate, yeah, yeah
Another day of living, yeah
I just want to celebrate another day of living
I just want to celebrate another day of life

Don't let it all get you down,
Don't let it turn you around and around
And around and around

Well, I can't be bothered with sorrow
And I can't be bothered with hate, no, no
I'm using up my time by feeling fine, every day
That's why I'm telling you I just want to celebrate
Aw, yeah
I just want to celebrate yeah yeah
Another day of living, yeah yeah
I just want to celebrate another day of livin', yeah
I just want to celebrate another day of life

Don't let it all get you down, no, no
Don't let it turn you around and around,
And around and around, and around
Around round round
'round and around round round round
don't go 'round

~~~~~~~~~~~
Took some time to celebrate
Just one day out of life
It would be, it would be so nice
Everybody spread the word
We're gonna have a celebration
All across the world
In every nation
It's time for the good times
Forget about the bad times, oh yeah
One day to come together
To release the pressure
We need a holiday
[ these lyrics found on http://www.completealbumlyrics.com ]
(chorus)
You can turn this world around
And bring back all of those happy days
Put your troubles down
It's time to celebrate
Let love shine
And we will find
A way to come together
And make things better
We need a holiday
(chorus)
Holiday Celebrate
Holiday Celebrate
(chorus)
Holiday Celebrate
Holiday Celebrate
Holiday, Celebration
Come together in every nation
I'm just catching this news too. Congrats to Swimpy, son of Swimpy, and the new bride. Gee, it's the 7th already in Germany, albeit in the middle of the night.
Best wishes to all involved and may the parents of the bride come to love and appreciate their new son-in-law.
Apparently you were not too far off, Walter. One of the traditions in the Karnten region is to have the bride and groom perform tricks in the street before the ceremony to prove they are worth of marriage. Ian had to don a traditional hat and coat and sing a song. After that they strapped wooden crate "snow shoes" to his feet and had him slalom through the throng of guests.
They are mailing us a cd of photos. I'll post some as soon as I can.
The weirdest thisng is that I woke up at exactly 3:00 am on Saturday morning. A mother knows.
