Pick the winners all the way to the end, the end I say, of the season.

Game (1): Indianapolis Colts @ Baltimore Ravens Colts
Game (4): New England Patriots @ San Diego Chargers Patriots

Game (2): Philadelphia Eagles @ New Orleans Saints Iggles
Game (3): Seattle Seahawks @ Chicago Bears Bears

Your first task is to predict the winners in those four games that will take place this weekend (1/13-1/14).

But, wait, there is more.

Before the start of the games this weekend, you must also predict who will prevail next weekend in the games between the winners of Games (1) and (4) and Games (2) and (3).

Patriots over Colts
Iggles over Bears in a close game

And then you must predict the winner of the Super Bowl Game itself. And Oh yes, just for a tiebreaker, suggest the total number of points the two teams will score..

Patriots 24

Deadline is kick-off of the first game on Saturday.

Is this confusing?

Right now, my choices in oatmeal are confusing. PS Thanks for running the show, RJB.

We are closing in on the deadline. Saturday at whatever time kick-off is.

Knowledge of the NFL is NOT needed. I assure you of that. But if you do know something about the topic, please join.

If you win you get a trophy and a fantastic amount of money. Well, actually, you get squat. Nothing. But please feel free to join anyway.

Indianapolis Colts will win in a close one over the Ravens
The San Diego Chargers will take out the Pats

N.O. Saints are a lock to win over the Eagles, and the Seattle Seahawks, in a stunner, will beat the Bears in convincing fashion.

After that, I'll go with...the Chargers over the Colts (Poor piteous Peyton)

and

the Saints over the stupid ass Seahawks (god I hate them).

In the big game, I predict that the Saints will take the Chargers in what will turn out to be, by far, the greatest superbowl game ever played. It will be won on a final play that is so incredible, so amazing, so unbeLIEVable, that it easily dwarfs in notoriety the immaculate reception, Cassius Clay's phantom punch to knock out Sonny Liston, and the US hockey team's improbably win over Russia to win the gold medal the 1980 olympics. Unfortunately nobody will be watching, due to the fact that nobody gives a **** about either of these teams. The final score of the game will be 42 to 41.

And you can take that to the bank, sucka!

Baltimore Ravens [an unpleasant visit to the old neighborhood]
New England Patriots [no way I would ever pick otherwise]
Chicago Bears [even though I think their ticket sale restriction is bush-league]
New Orleans Saints [team of destiny]

New England Patriots [bias]
New Orlean Saints [destiny]

New England Patriots (45) [bias trumps destiny]

Kicky, I took your stuff to the bank. They said it was counterfeit.

So we are off and running. 16 of us here (although one player filled out an imcomplete ballot).

9 of us feel that San Diego will end up winning the Super Bowl. 4 of us are going with New Orleans and 3 with New England.

As near as I can tell from my scorecard, Lion and Ms Cowdoc have identical picks and Region and Fbaezer will be celebrating or commiserating together.

See you around 8 pm.

Two games down. 7 of yall have unblemished records: Tico, Lion, Cowdoc, Fbaezer, JPB, Ms Cowdoc and Kicky are at 2-0. Everyone else is at 1-1 except for Johnboy who was wrong and then wrong again. 0 -2.

Jespah (going with Philly) and Chiso (with Baltimore)) are the only players who are somewhat wounded. They had them winning yesterday and also winning next weekend. But neither of them had Philly or Baltimore getting to the Super Bowl so they are not mortally wounded.

Thank you, JPB, for the correction. I buy wite-out in 55 gallon drums.
I always have trouble with the Baltimore Colts sneaking out of that town in the dead of the night to become the Indianapolis Colts.
