It's because they aren't true believers, they think by decieving people into thinking they will automatically get a seat in Heaven by simply wearing a Cross around their neck that they have done their job.
Moreover, they believe Jesus (pbuh) died for our sins when God said no soul shall bare another's load. At the same time, they believe in Jesus's second coming - what happens after that? Does that mean he will stop forgiving everyone when he comes back again?
