(sort of breaking my debate rule, but I do want to know)
So why don't men wear a veil and/or burka? Aren't men as tempting to a woman as a woman is to a man? Why do only women get covered as if they are wearing a shroud?
the nature of the man is more lustful then women im sure you will agree.
Men must also cover themselves from above the navel to below the knees.
there is no reason given to us so this is pure speculation aat this point, but men are also commanded to provide for the family and so they must work.
Often they must do so in harsh conditons so it may not be suitable for them to be completley uncovered.
Islam also forbids free mixing so most of these situations that you speak of are cut out anyways. Only in a few situations would there be opportunities for women mixingwith men for example in the market place.
And Allah (swt) knows best
