I would reject Communism outright.

I would want a Democratic government with a socialist leaning economy.

I would say it's yet another LSM trademarked stupid, insipid question like asking "Do you walk to work or carry your lunch?"

Democracy is a political system. Socialism and communism are economic systems.

I would choose Democracy. Not the insipid, spendthrift, war-mongering government we have now.

Representative Democracy, like our FF crafted for us. But sadly, we're closer to socialism than democracy.

You do understand that you can have both Representative Democracy AND socialism at the same time, don't you Madam?

LSM still doesn't get it. The question should be do you prefer socialism, communism or capitalism. Or, perhaps, do you prefer plebiscite democracy, representative democracy or totaltariansim?

Here, we have someone who clogs this forum incessantly with nonsense, ridiculous threads and assorted bile who doesn't understand the first thing about politics, it is sad really. With all the time on his hands, he could be educating himself rather than mucking up this forum with incessant ignorance.

As a public service, I will post this yet again from the Merriam Webster Online website:

socialism

1 : any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2 a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state.

So if most of the economy is in private hands, you don't have socialism. If you have private property, you don't have socialism.

So if most of the economy is in private hands, you don't have socialism. If you have private property, you don't have socialism.

Um, have you heard of iminent domain by chance? Did you know that the US Federal gov't is the biggest employer in this country? Did you know that the federal gov't has a very good chance at growing even bigger? That is socialism
This has been a public service awareness moment.
