CIA had let itself go. They've begun eliminate influential people hindering their plans one after another. So senator Tim Johnson a South Dakota Democrat was hospitalized and is resting from brain surgery in the result of a secret special services operation to get him out of the democrats' ranks. They say that was because Democrats had been holding a fragile 51-49 in Senate and Mr. Republican President was very displeased with this fact. Now the South Dakota governor (also convinced Republican) would be able to appoint his protegee (guess who's stickler would he be).
That incident very looks like incident with Litvinenko's death. Seemingly new head of CIA had instituted special Agency group for accomplishment of assassinations and tests it in practice.
First they've got out of the way Litvinenko. He was outbid CIA agent and conveyed large consignments of polonium illegally. But he must have been talking too much and was sentenced to death unofficially.
And that's just a beginning of their activity. Who's next I wonder? IMHO we'll know quite soon.
"Surgeons at the George Washington University Hospital have said Johnson was experiencing post-surgery swelling in his brain, but they said that was normal.
Johnson, 59, has been diagnosed with arteriovenous malformation, a condition that causes arteries and veins to grow abnormally large, become tangled and sometimes burst. The condition often is present from birth."
