Matthews: "When President Bush ran for office, he said something that grabbed me. He said, 'I think we need to be a little more humble in our foreign policy. Do you think 9/11, as horrible as it was, screwed up our value system about humility in the world, whether we're the boss of the world?"
Edwards, to a round of applause from the UNC students: "No I think George Bush screwed up our value system."

they can't help it bear. anything beyond the official conservative "snap on" hair that's been made so wildly popular by mssrs. lott, delay and fristy leads some into a crisis of sexual identity.
Edwards seems like a good guy - serious guy, too, of all the 2004 Dem primary contenders the one who'd put most effort in wonkish policy stuff - he's got his priorities right, as well (on working people's interests, poverty, bread-and-butter issues, rather than on the culture war stuff). But I was really, really, really disappointed by his performance in the 2004 Veep debate with Cheney. He seemed pre-studied to the point of pre-programmed, lacked all spontaneity and authentic humanness, or even just personality, and he turned out to be an utter lightweight, who was easily crushed by Cheney. Big disappointment, cause after all the raving press reviews about his ability to connect with people and evoke empathy I had expected a lot.

totally agree with ya, nimh. i think he's going to do a lot better this time, especially being unfettered by kerry's horrible team.

Re: John Edwards For President?
John Edwards is a liberal and politically correct.
He is against the deepest essence of America, and is NOT a good American.

will he be at your house when we watch the apocalypse too? Because if he's all you say and will hasten the revolution, I'll vote for him all three times, and see to it my dead parents and minor children do as well.
