CNN reports doctors are very encouraged by the senators improvement. Reportedly, he is now able to understand and acknowledge speech. Next couple days will be crucial as to his prognosis.

Our hopes and prayers continue to go out to him and his family.

Even though I would love the Republicans to have control again, I am glad that the Senator is on the mend. Hope he makes a speedy and full recovery.
