Quote:Iran tried to obtain uranium from Somalia in return for supplying weapons to the anarchic country's Islamist movement, according to the United Nations.
The Supreme Council of Islamic Courts is believed to control the uranium-rich areas of Somalia.
A report given to the Security Council today finds that Iran is one of seven countries breaking a UN arms embargo by providing weapons to the Islamic radicals who control most of southern and central Somalia, including the capital, Mogadishu.

Anyone have any insight on this, or what this may bring about?
This points out how foolish is a Crusade against a billion Muslims. Better to take the plank out of our eye before we try to remove a speck from theirs. It's frustrating being a Superpower when the world refuses to submit. That's the eternal high anxiety attack world of bullies forever. Ask Joey Buttefuco.

Washington, D.C.
The United States Department of Defense has firmly denied reports of the capture of American soldiers in southern Somalia, stating "no U.S. service members have been captured or killed in Somalia."
A press officer from the department on Friday said the U.S. is "cooperating" with foot soldiers in East Africa to "track, locate, and identify" suspected terrorists and members of al-Qaeda. The department declined to comment further on the grounds that details of operations in East Africa were "sensitive information."
In a report Friday, January 26th, the Shabelle Media Network reported that unnamed Arab and Western diplomatic sources "confirmed that an unspecified number of U.S. foot soldiers was seized in southern Somalia."
