bring the troops home by 2008 so bush can claim he accomplished the mission in time to (in his mind) save his legacy and elect a republican president.

I could puke. We're done.

I would think, at this point, that a Dem is almost a sureshot for the presidency in '08. Can't see a lame duck gaining a whole lot of momentum, especially with the news coming out of the Whitehouse as of late just plain sucks.

No?

Meaning, what self loathing loony, other than the "anyone but a dem crowd", would vote Republican after this?

He he.
That's funny stuff.

Bush has been shooting himself, his party, and America actually, in the foot for the past 6 years.
They really can't compete on his level.
He stands in splendid isolation as America's biggest f*ckup.
No Dem can claim that title, especially in 18 months.

Didn't you say something similar about the midterm elections?

I am feeling pretty good.

You must be mistaking me for someone else. The Dems have 18 months to do something to try to change America. The boulder they are rolling is going to prove too large for them and they will fail to make any relevant changes and the American people will take notice in 2008.

The American people have already noticed of whose making the boulder is , and whose brilliant idea it was to attempt to push it up such an impossible grade. They have spken about it at the polls quite clearly thank you.

Oh, I get it.
The dems now have 18 months to fix what Bush amply screwed up in 6 years, otherwise thay are nothing short of collosal failures?
Perhaps when they have the control Bush had in his first 6 years, they can affect some significant changes.
This is not their "chance".
That chance is yet to come.

No, you don't get it. I doubt you will ever get it because you have too big a chip on your shoulder.

You are about as impotent as this administration McG....telling everyone they have a chip on their shoulder.
A comment that is witless, baseless and completely irrelevent.

BTW I heard on the radio on the way to work that Bush's disapproval is at a record high.....71%.

I appears you, along with his dwindling numbers of apologists, are the one who don't "get it".

Telling everyone? Laughing

No, just you. You've already proven you are incapable of getting, are you sure you want to continue proving the same?

I wonder how much it hurts to swallow that crow. Saying that we need to seek a way forward is basically an admission of defeat.

I missed the word "it" and that makes you incapable of understanding what I wrote? Way to show off your mental facilities. If only you bothered, you could correlate my previous post with the reference to "it" and extrapolate from that the missing word.

I was not aware that your inability to string together a simple and coherent english sentence was somehow a reflection of my intellectual capacity.

No need to get your panties in a bunch because I requested that you clarify your statement rather than me possibly misinterpreting your intent.
