It is my opinion that Bush is just plain stupid. What's yours?
That would be giving stupid people a bad name.
I cring everytime I read that Bush meets with foreign leaders. I can only guess what goes through their minds. " I wonder what stupid has to say today"
I think purposefully ignorant describes him better.
He's not stupid, he is capable of navigating himself around in his day to day life, but he's bereft of intellectual curiousity and focused only on the few small things that are important to him

He lives in the whitehouse, has a staff to cater to his wants and needs, has more money then he will ever spend, meets with the world's most influencial people daily, leads the greatest nation on the face of the earth, has people talking about him from every corner of the globe, has his own plane, fleet of cars, helicopter, military, people would voluntarily die for him in a heartbeat... I wish I was that stupid.

just find someone with all those assets to put their hand in your back like Paul Winchell and you CAN be that stupid and get away with it.

There may be some people who are patriots and would volunteer to die for their country, but not for George W Bush.

I would have to say if you took every country in the world and examined their individual leaders for intellect and common sense, Bush would rate at the very bottom. And he would have no competition for that slot.

No, I was speaking of the secret service detail that protects the president.
That's their job, McGentrix. I'm sure they would not be thrilled to death if that particular requirement came to light.
