Bush says U.S. won't pull out of Iraq

Quote:
"There's one thing I'm not going to do, I'm not going to pull our troops off the battlefield before the mission is complete," he said in a speech setting the stage for high-stakes meetings with the Iraqi prime minister later this week. "We can accept nothing less than victory for our children and our grandchildren."

Dear Commander in Grief,

What is the mission? How do you define 'victory'?

Getting rid of the WMDs? Iraq didn't have any.

Punishing Iraq for aiding Al Qaeda? They weren't.

Avenging 9-11? Iraq had nothing to do with it.

How is victory possible when the mission was a lie right from the start? WE cannot achieve the stated goals for invading Iraq. Therefore, this is a war that cannot be won, only lost.

Thats true Laughing . I don't think he's trying to convince the US public. This message is aimed at the 'terrorists'. Hope they're as stupid.

Here he goes again with more lies : Bush Blames Al Qaeda for Wave of Iraq Violence

Again, it doesn't matter now why we went, we did. Now, how to finish it. That Mr Chait had the best idea. Or just bomb them to hell.

Bush, Webb in testy exchange over Senator-elect's soldier son
RAW STORY
Published: Tuesday November 28, 2006

President Bush and U.S. Senator-elect Jim Webb got into a testy exchange over the status of Webb's soldier son, who is serving in Iraq, The Hill is reporting.

At a White House private dinner just after the election featuring "newly elected lawmakers," Emily Heil writes that Bush asked Webb "how his son, a Marine lance corporal serving in Iraq, was doing." Webb replied to the President that he "really wanted to see his son brought back home," according to a person who was present at the dinner.

"I didn't ask you that, I asked how he's doing," Bush replied, according to The Hill's source.

"Webb confessed that he was so angered by this that he was tempted to slug the commander-in-chief, reported the source, but of course didn't," writes Heil. "It's safe to say, however, that Bush and Webb won't be taking any overseas trips together anytime soon."

Webb wore his sons boots through much of his campaign. he didn't have much of an opponent on George Allen, but to use his own son....
Of course he wants to see his son come home, I would think, hope that all aprents would want their kids out of harms way, however, why couldn't Webb have at least answered the presidents question, rather than use him for political fodder. He could've said, he's fine, or not so fine & I want him to come home, but no, he had to make a political issue out of it.
We have a grandson that is that came home for T'Giving from Afghanistan, he will go back 3 Dec, he tells a much different story about what's going on over there than the media &/or war protestors want us to believe.

In case you haven't noticed, Bush is political fodder. And how can you make excuses for a man who has caused the murder of thousands based on a pack of lies.

he had to make a political issue out of it.

What planet are you on? It is a big political issue and people have to stop giving this scoundrel free passes. He's the one that made the mess and he's the one that has to face up to it.

The free ride has ended. it's time to face the music.

That would make you Foxy's great auntie, or somethin' like that.

Yes, Bush is political fodder, Webbs son should not be.
If you're making light of my grandsons service in Afghanistan, then that says a lot more about you that you probably realize. Does the phrase we support our troops but not the war ring a bell, or are you one that supports neither?
