touch of Palladio in there...

italianate was the word I was after.

Renzo Piano is designing a new addition to the Art Institute, and, in my first photo, that bunch of blue in the background is an exhibit of his plans.

One more photo and then I'll stop. (One more potato chip..)

This is one of the lions outside the Art Institute; that's Michigan Avenue in the background.

A talented bunch of eyes abide here. What I like about Lord E's photo is that is also has a sinister quality - like the wolf is trailing Little Red Riding Hood in the forest.

These are breathtaking! LordE's is one of those that makes you feel that you could be right there on the path.

Bean, ahhh. Just so beautiful.

Walter, of course your photos are magnificent. You are truly on a professional level.

The one by1926rich is very interesting. I too prefer untouched up photos, but there are some, and yours is one, that are captivating.

Osso, captured wonderful lines and points of interest all in one photo. One of my favorites, though, is osso's avatar of Pacco getting in position to hump Sally at a 90 degree angle. Don't ask, he just likes it that way...

wow that is a really beautiful picture Lord E - woods in that light aren't always easy to photograph

Bean is gorgeous and the light is lovely

Walter and Osso, great

This is one with my new camera, which can focus to 1cm Very Happy and is just a try out of using the macro really really close - so I like it because it's macro and I have that ability again Very Happy and I like the shapes and colours and movement - I actually did a painting based on it, though I never usually work from photos.

Interesting. It reminds me of an electromicroscopy photo of a clump of the E. coli pathogens.. (those photos are often beautiful to me).

Wow! What a great thread! There are some great photos on here. I agree that forest light can be hard to capture so I'm really impressed with Lord E's photo. And or course, Walter, shewolf and Viven always post such beautiful things. And I love the "street scenes" of osso and CJane. Unfortunately I can't see smorg's pussy or 1929rich's photo.

I don't really have a favorite photo that I can think of off the top of my head but I did just complete the "2006" series of Mo.

It is the third of the series. It is so much fun to see how he changes year to year:

<edit>

I seem to have somehow lost my photo posting priveldges - I haven't been able to post for a while.

I don't think photo posting privileges exist as a seperate entity...? Can you try again, maybe there was something wonky with the url (plus I want to see the 2006 series!)

I think I figured it out! For some reason photobucket is adding a little extra text now -- I cut that off and now it seems to be okay!

Here's the series to date:
