executive summaries

I'm trying to complete an executive summary for my Organizational Communication class, but I'm having some problems getting started. Does anyone have any insight as to what it is suppose to look like? Also, I'm having to write a marketing plan on myself and my career after I graduate. I want to be a real estate agent for a few years and then move on. Does anyone have any experience writing one of these?
