The "last push" strategy is also intended to give Mr Bush and the Republicans "political time and space" to recover from their election drubbing and prepare for the 2008 presidential campaign, the official said. "The Iraq Study Group buys time for the president to have one last go. If the Democrats are smart, they'll play along, and I think they will. But forget about bipartisanship. It's all about who's going to be in best shape to win the White House.

The term "final solution" has specific conotations to a time in history and you know this. No where in the article does it mention "final solution", that was your choice of words.

Perhaps "light at the end of the tunnel" would have been more appropriate.

No, I guess that has certain historical connotations too...

Nope, that's just the smell of one more Bush dead-ender...

How about "peace with honor," another obfuscation from history's dustbin used to justify further needless American deaths.

knowing his time to do so is short he will wreak as much havoc as possible.... and still leave the earth scorched and accomplish nothing.

cheer up, I could have quoted Revelations 12:12 and then you'd have been bitching about me comparing him to the Anti Christ Laughing
