I Love This....

Although not from a source one would consider "fair and balanced", though it's as fair and balanced as Fox News IMO, I think this little gem has a lot to say.

It is a great wake up call for the democratic party. Unfortunately if the democrats keep hitting the snooze button and going back to sleep it will soon be too late to get to work. Crying or Very sad

Is it really your opinion that website is as fair and balanced as Fox news?

REALLY?

I enjoyed the article, but c'mon, you would never find anything even resembling that on Fox news...

Was smirking chimp connected with that wonderful comic strip "Dubya" that ran in the India Times?

No, McG - you're right. You'd never find that in Fox news.

That's what BPB said, so I would imagine that's what was meant.

the thing about a swarm of leftists is that a swarm of righties can easily chime in if they choose...difference being that unlike Fox News they're required, as we all are, to keep a civil tongue in their heads.

They are certainly welcome to chime in if they so choose however.

That's fair and balanced.

*looks around*

I think you may have scared them all away! It must have been all the talk about peace and love and the aroma of patchoulli oil (Is that right Blatham? Did I get the context right?).

Now, what were we talking about? Oh! Right! Fair and balanced news reporting vs. the Smirking Chimp...Read the headlines of each and see which is which. I can hardly tell myself!

Actually i think, OMG, Fox news, in and of itself does a pretty decent job of reporting factual news with an emphasis on what it deems to be "popular." Where it really strays is in its "opinion" shows like O'Reilly which it pretends is non-biased. The "we report, you decide" is just a sham. CNN-MSNBC et al have degenerated to the level of Fox in order to regain a market share. The loss is accurate information from any one them. I now restrict my news information to the BBC and PBS-NPR.

As to the article -- damn, if only the dems in office did have a spine and a sack between them; at least c-span would be more exciting.

I have always been of the opinion that news should come from all sources and it is up to the user to decipher it. I watch CNN, Foxnews, MSNBC, Listen to NPR to and from work, Read BBC, CNN, Common Dreams, Spinsanity, Free Republic.

Limiting news to a source that you agree with limits the scope of knowledge you have access to.

Hell, I even added Smirkingchimp to my favorites to see how they deal with facts.

Did anyone watch "Anything for Love" on FOX last night? Riveting, I tell you, just riveting. Wink

Is that the stupid show where the lady gets the million bucks if the guy chooses her?

If so, yeah, my wife made me watch the last 10 minutes of it...I felt ashamed.

No, this one's more realistic. In one segment they had a guy on who wanted to tell this girl she was his soulmate, after only meeting her twice. She confessed that the first time they met, she liked him, but not anymore. Dumped him on the spot. Wink

well what does it say about your all american right wing brethren McGentrix if a peace and love patchouli oil burning hippie can "scare them off"? Your words, not mine.

Perhaps, like our current crop of leaders they are expert at picking fights at a long distance, but do not now or in the past, have the stomach for the real fight.

After all we peace love hippies are pushovers for you Sgt. Fury style current crop of right wingers. Laughing

Anyway, obviously there wasn't much else on. Guess I should've watched Everybody Loves Raymond, usually good for a laugh.
