Was walking by a tv at work and heard that 1.2 billion dollar down payment on this fence had been made and I couldn't help but think we could probably save the taxpayers a lot of money if we just hired a crew of Mexicans to do it.

But we should give them a sense of what it is like to be gainfully employed.

Then why limit it to republican lawmakers? I think most of them up there need to get a sense of what it is like to be gainfully employed. Maybe then they will all earn a bit of the money we pay them.

Yeah, but based on the thread about what they are making per session, I just figure they can help out too. I mean, it's not like they are doing anything else constructive up there in DC.

True, but then they would want benefits, time off, lunch breaks, vacations. WHO NEEDS THAT!!

Maybe we can take their au pairs, and offer them to the Mexicans as an incentive. The Au Pairs who could also be unemeployed by then. That will give the mexicans a reason to build the fence quickly.
