Some interesting and thoughtful posts on this thread, excepting the obvious.
On the 5th anniversary of 9/11 Gore Vidal was asked on BBC radio what had happened since then. He said with great sadness "We lost the Republic".
What happened on 9/11 itself is pretty obvious. Planes flew into tall buildings in New York and the Pentagon. Why[/i] this happened is for everyone to determine for themselves. Hear all see all and say nowt...[/i]as they say in Yorkshire.
