Anyone watching "Ugly Betty"?
I wasn't going to watch it, but then I changed my mind and did watch it. Glad too! It was a delight and especially when some of the actors came on the scene with really strong NY accents.
Betty is a very nice young lady and I wish the best for her.
Looks like Betty comes from a religious family, as there was an
Infant of Prague figurine in her living room, in the last episode.
I missed it's premiere last week but will definitely try and catch it this week. I'm looking forward to "Let's Rob..." ( I think they've changed the title already tho'), Jeff Goldblum's new series and also the Ray Liotta vehicle.
Interesting shows coming on network tv this season. Hope they can live up to the hype.

She's Hispanic, correct? Very Catholic usually.
Yes, she's Hispanic and also Catholic.
Betty lives in Queens, too.
Lot's of bad acting, and a weak script make "Ugly Betty" not
very attractive. If they continue like that, they won't stay on for long.
I love the New York flavor of the Queens residents.
I caught part of an episode last night.
I enjoyed it, though I had some trouble adapting to the style. I really liked the actors playing Betty and her family (and neighbours) - not so wild about the actors in the office.
The plot line is rather poorly constructed; however, I think given enough time this show could catch a decent sized following. It's major advantage is that there is nothing else to watch (My Name Is Earl is one of the competitors). A disadvantage is that it is coming in at a time when baseball has playoffs and then the World Series which will cut into possible viewership.
I'd think it would have a huge New York or even American-Latino
following. Interesting to compare the several Hispanic TV shows that are now available, such as the George Lopez show, Desperate HouseWives and now Ugly Betty.
Interesting to note how diversity is now gaining some support on the TV shows. Just look at Grey's Anatomy, which seems to have included racial, ethnic and even body type diversity in it's show.
It's nice to see that all MDs aren't skinny, isn't it?

If you miss an episode you can watch it for free at abc.com
Will that be commercial-free viewing?
I am pretty sure it is commercial free.
Have you seen Betty with her hair up, rather than down?

Actually there are three mini commercials but you can watch them all up front at first -- it is great. I watched the first Greys at ABC.com beccause I was sick and it was awesome -- great quality and easy to use. has anyone else used it?
Have not seen Ugly Betty yet so maybe I will catch it online too
Ugly Betty was good tonight and is starting to get a little spooky. What's all this talk about a car being junked and who was that spooky woman with the veils drinking the wine in the dark, tonight?

That was tonight, where she wanted to have a "Queen's Look"!
