After how many years? 20 some odd?

Why were they sealed in the first place?

No wonder why he has such an axe to grind with our government.

Murtha is suffering from a guilty conscience. He does not belong in politics. His judgments are clouded by personal vendetta and embarrassment..

Mutha should be embarrassed.

He said he wanted it for his town?

And who was going to manage this money for his town?

He was testing the waters.

I think there is a bigger video release now on the net somewhere.

It was just released this week or maybe even today. That is what I thought I heard on Hannity and Colmes (fox news).

No, Murtha simply refused to take money for himself to let the "sheikh" gain US residency, but let the "sheikh" know that if he wanted to invest in in the impoverished Rust Belt district which Murtha represents, he'll see what he can do to get the him residency.

Outright bribery of public officials is a normal mode of business in many countries, and Murtha was just letting the "foreigner" know that was not the way here. If you want to invest money in a town, that town's representative likely will try to get you legal residency since you are a person who brings unique skills to the country. On the other hand, you don't give the congressman money directly, since that is a bribe.

By the way, Rupert Murdoch, owner of Fox News, seemed to gain American citizenship in record time. You don't suppose some Congressman helped him along there, do you? I mean, considering the amount of money Murdoch had to invest in the country?

George Bush took money from Halliburton PAC and employees for his campaign and his inaguration.

Halliburton got no bid contracts.

If Murtha is even close to guilty of bribery for suggesting someone MAY get help then Bush definately is guilty of it for actually giving them something.

Halliburton is not a radical foreign interest. Two wrongs don't make a right.

What are you talking about? This happened in 1979. Where was "Islamic fascism", or whatever you call it, back then?

Ayatollah Khomeini had begun to come into power in Iran. Aside from that, nobody knew anything else about "Islamic fascism" as you call it. and the sheik did not identify himself as being alied with Khomeini in any way.

Anybody who reads your posts knows you are spacey, but I still thought you could separate events which happened a quarter of a century apart. Guess not.

Who's "spacy"?...

Maybe you didn't know, Islamic fascism preexisted the Ayatollah Khomeini...

Fascism comes in many religious forms...

You are, as anyone who reads your posts here knows.

But people from the Middle East were not flying planes into buildings in 1979. Terrorism had not become associated with Arabs. The imposter sent to contact the Congressmen did not identify himself as being from any terrorist group at all-he posed as an Arab interested in obtaining residency in the US to make money.

You are trying to take a relatively recent events and put them onto an unrelated investigation a quarter of a century ago. Anybody who remembers ABSCAM knows you are a joke for doing so.

Murtha needs to give a shut to his bleeding guilty conscience and let the president use the US military the way he deems fit.
